“One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals. And so when I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don’t invest any energy in them, because I know who I am.”

Horse Power: Tom Bass' American Story
Amari Lewis—the actor who plays Natalia (Nate)—says she is honored to be able to play a role that will inspire children who look like her.
“There were a couple of moments in the show where I felt like every little black girl can relate to this. I remember so many moments of my own life, feeling that same frustration. I had a lot of moments where I felt like I see her, I understand her and in turn, she sees me as well,” Lewis says.

Little Shop of Horrors
Here, Chiffon, Crystal, and Ronette are played by Alyssa Byers, Amari Lewis, and Chioma Anyanwu, respectively—three incredibly talented local actors and singers with astounding voices. Looking out into the audience pretty much any time these women were singing, I was met with an ocean of grinning faces.

Alice’s Wonderland: World Premiere
“ And the most commanding number belongs to Amari Lewis's Queen, who is diva-ready, should Six ever need a seventh“
(KC Pitch).

SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical TYA World Premiere
“Particular standouts are Nik Whitcomb as SpongeBob's best friend Patrick and Amari Lewis as squirrel scientist Sandy Cheeks […] Lewis works this range with composure, capturing Sandy's squarely sunniness while also giving the show some emotional heft”
(KC Studio).

Pete the Cat
“Amari Lewis was hilarious as Jimmy's high-spirited little sister, who, unfortunately, discovers she has an allergy to cats"
